A GALLERY FROM A HOBBY

Katie Fong gave a talk about the pictures she chose for the exhibit.

Turning her hobby into a gallery is poised to be Ms Katie Fong’s standout achievement this year, showcasing her talent and creativity to a wider audience.

While she mentions a reluctance parallel to her decision to nurture her biggest idea, here’s my favourite amongst pictures she featured during her graduation.

BRIDGING THE GAPS

The common denominator? Disney! Working with the company for over 10 years, acquaintances turned friends gained career movement.

Katie loves going to Disney and she would take photos of performers and would tag them. One of them was me and with Katie Fong’s inspirational achievement of turning her passion into a gallery, let’s read through her inspirational journey.

What inspired you to create/pass these entries?

“A long time ago, when I was a little kid, I visited Tokyo Disneyland which gave me the most magical fantasy and served as a childhood memory. As soon as Hong Kong built its own Disneyland, I wanted to use my beautiful experience to take these photos, as to reflect that core memory.”

Where did you take some of your shots?

“I took these shots from Hong Kong Disneyland.”

Is this your first time to exhibit your work?

“This is my first time holding an exhibition with other classmates. I learned many different ways of showing people how I felt through my vision. Teachers also taught me how to show the messages of the photos from a better angle.”

What’s your advice to those who fear showcasing their work?

About

I have a deep regard for your time. It's when I write and cook that time becomes non-existent. I love learning and while you think I am the kind of lady who has a lot of things to say, just take it that I was sharing what I had learned with full impact over a cup of Joe.
